What has been implemented
Every page uses semantic HTML with a single first-level heading, landmark regions, and headings in hierarchical order. A skip link is the first focusable element on every page. All interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator that is never removed.
Diagrams are supplied with a text alternative and are repeated as an ordered list beneath the image, so no information depends on seeing them. Data tables use header cells with scope. Form fields have persistent visible labels, and errors are announced rather than shown by colour alone.
Motion
Where the operating system reports a preference for reduced motion, entrance animation, parallax and transitions are disabled and content renders at rest. No animation loops indefinitely in the reading area, and no animation is required in order to reach content.
Known limitations
The map on the contact page and the external booking calendar are third-party embeds. Their internal accessibility is controlled by their providers rather than by us. Both are supplemented by an accessible alternative on the same page: full address, telephone, WhatsApp and email details next to the map, and a direct enquiry route next to every booking control.
Where you encounter a barrier we have not listed here, we would rather hear about it than not.
How this was tested
Keyboard-only navigation of every page and every interactive component; automated contrast checking of the colour system against AA thresholds; screen reader review of headings, landmarks and form labelling; rendering down to a 320 pixel viewport without horizontal scroll; and verification that content is available with animation disabled.
Reporting a barrier
Email hello@gotocommunications.co.za with the page address and a description of what you could not do, or telephone +27 71 871 1311. Accessibility reports are treated as priority correspondence and are acknowledged within one business day, in line with our stated service standard.
| Principle | What we have done |
|---|---|
| Perceivable | Text alternatives for diagrams, AA contrast throughout, content reflows to 320 pixels, no information conveyed by colour alone. |
| Operable | Full keyboard operability, skip link, visible focus, no keyboard traps, reduced motion honoured, no time limits. |
| Understandable | Plain UK English, consistent navigation, persistent field labels, errors described in text and identified in place. |
| Robust | Valid semantic HTML, ARIA used only where native semantics are insufficient, tested with assistive technology. |
