Outcomes first.
Services second.
A service menu tells you what an agency likes selling. It rarely tells you what your organisation needs. So we organise capability into four ecosystems, and start every engagement by working out which one your problem actually sits in.
Frequently, it is not the one you came in asking about.
Which of these sounds like you?
Strategic communications
For organisations whose licence to operate depends on trust: universities, government, municipalities, non-profits and regulated firms.
Discuss an engagementReputation is built in ordinary weeks and spent in unusual ones. The work is mostly unglamorous: deciding what the organisation stands for, saying it consistently, and being ready when something goes wrong.
Communication strategy
Audience mapping, message architecture, channel plan and a calendar your team can actually run.
Public relations and media
Media relations, statements, op-eds, spokesperson preparation and coverage analysis.
Stakeholder engagement
Stakeholder mapping, engagement plans, consultation design and reporting back credibly.
Internal communication
Staff channels, leadership messaging, change communication and a way to hear what is coming back.
Crisis and issues
Risk register, holding statements, escalation protocol, simulation and post-incident review.
Reputation management
Monitoring, sentiment reading, correction strategy and long-term narrative repair.
A crisis plan written after the crisis is a report. Written before, it is an asset.
Marketing works when three things are true: the position is defensible, the message is consistent, and someone is measuring. Miss any one and you are buying attention you cannot convert.
Brand strategy and identity
Positioning, naming, verbal identity, visual system and the guidelines that keep it intact.
Campaign development
Concept, creative, production and rollout, built against a defined behaviour you want to change.
Content strategy
Pillars, formats, production rhythm and a library that gets reused instead of rewritten.
Social and community
Channel selection, editorial calendar, community management and escalation rules.
Email and lifecycle
List hygiene, segmentation, sequences and the discipline to send less, better.
Performance and analytics
Paid media, conversion tracking, dashboards and honest reporting on what did not work.
Marketing and brand
For organisations that need demand, enrolment, attendance, membership or funding, and need to prove where it came from.
Score your marketing maturityApplied AI
Narrow use cases, written governance, measurable time returned. We will talk you out of the ones that will not survive contact with your staff.
Check AI readinessWe apply four filters before recommending any AI use case. Does the task repeat. Does it consume senior time. Is the output checkable by a person who knows the answer. Would an error surface before it does damage. Three out of four is not a pass.
AI strategy and triage
Use case inventory, scoring, sequencing and a written statement of what will not be automated.
Assistants on your material
Retrieval over your own policies, manuals and records, with citations back to the source document.
Prompt and content systems
Reusable templates, tone rules and review steps so output quality does not depend on who is on shift.
Knowledge management
Structuring what the organisation knows so it is searchable, current and survives resignations.
Workflow automation
Connecting the tools you already pay for, removing the copy and paste layer between them.
Capability building
Executive briefings and hands-on staff training, so adoption is not a single champion.
Most organisations do not have an information problem in the abstract. They have a retrieval problem in a specific moment: an audit, a court date, an FOI request, a funder deadline, a handover. That moment is what we design backwards from.
Document digitisation
Capture, indexing, quality control and a naming standard that will still make sense in five years.
Electronic records
Classification, retention schedules, access control and audit trails aligned to statutory duty.
Digital archives
Preservation, metadata, finding aids and public access where mandate requires it.
Knowledge libraries
One place staff actually look, maintained by a named owner with a review cycle.
Process automation
Mapping the current process, removing steps, then automating what remains. In that order.
Document intelligence
Extraction, classification and quality checks on high volume paperwork, with human sign-off retained.
Digital transformation
The layer underneath the communication. Unfashionable, expensive to ignore, and where most public sector risk actually lives.
Scope a digitisation projectThree ways to work with us.
Diagnostic
A bounded assessment producing a scored reading, a written recommendation and a costed roadmap. Ends with a decision, not a retainer.
Typical duration
Two to four weeks.
Project
A defined build with a defined end: a strategy, an identity, a site, an assistant, a records system, a training programme.
Typical duration
Six to sixteen weeks.
Managed capability
We run the function alongside your team, with agreed indicators and a named lead. Reviewed quarterly, cancellable.
Typical duration
Six months, renewable.
Asked often.
Yes. We are based in Bloemfontein and work across South Africa, with most engagements running remotely and key sessions held in person. Travel is quoted separately and only where it changes the outcome.
It depends on scope, and we will not quote before we understand the problem. What we can commit to is that the diagnostic produces a costed roadmap, so you see the full number before you commit to the build. The first discovery session carries no charge.
Often that is the better arrangement. We are frequently brought in for the strategic layer while an existing team handles execution, or for a specific capability such as AI or records that the incumbent does not cover.
Yes, and it is the most valuable thing we do. We have advised clients against rebrands, against AI pilots and against new websites where the money was better spent elsewhere. A recommendation you cannot disagree with is not advice.
Under POPIA, with a written processing agreement for any engagement that touches personal information. We minimise what we hold, agree retention up front, and specify which systems may and may not be used for your material.
